Recruiter Location Hybrid remote in Houston, TX :
The Recruiter is a member of the ABS Global Talent Acquisition (TA) team. Our TA team is a Center of Excellence (COE) and supports the hiring efforts of three wholly owned ABS organizations. These organizations operate in 54 countries and have over 5,000 employees. What You Will Do:
- Support hiring needs within the United States and occasionally Canada.
- Leverage experience to primarily recruit candidates in Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Operations, Business Development (BD), Financial Services, and Cyber Security. Some of our clients are from the government sector to include DOD, FEMA, Department of Homeland Security, and others.
- Proactively create staffing strategies and identify alternate methods for attracting candidates to assigned open positions.
- Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and current employees.
- Work professionally with other HR team members, including Recruiters, Coordinators, HR Business Partners, Compensation, and various levels of HR management.
- Report weekly on assigned openings, via standardized reporting and live sessions, with members of the management team and Human Resources.
- Responsible for assigned openings from the requisition creation stage to the offer creation and acceptance stage. All functions are performed within the ATS.
- Operate as a talent acquisition partner to assigned departments and take the initiative to learn the business and how talent acquisition impacts the operation.
- Partner, on occasion, with College Recruiting to identify to help attract recent college graduates or interns.
What You Will Need: Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- At least four (4) years of recruiting experience is preferred.
- Solid experience using common tools to sources passive candidates (LinkedIn Recruiter, ZoomInfo, Dice, etc.).
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ORC, Taleo, SuccessFactors, etc.).
- Experience carrying up to 25 requisitions simultaneously in a corporate environment is preferred.
- Experience sourcing passive candidate to fill more difficult roles.

- Ability to travel, on occasion and with notice, in support of recruiting events.
- Skilled at engaging with all levels of management to include executive leadership in a professional manner.
- Ability to provide feedback and direction tactfully and diplomatically to Hiring Managers when needed.
It Would Be Nice If You Had
- Strong knowledge of employment law as it is related to recruiting and hiring.
- Exposure to recruiting metrics including Time to Fill, Time to Hire, and Time Open.
- Experience with government hiring requirements including ITAR and security clearances.
Schedule and Location:
- The position has a hybrid work schedule consisting of Tuesday through Thursday in the office. Monday and Friday provide the option to work remotely or from the office.
- This open role is located at our modern ten-story corporate headquarters in Spring, Texas (Springwoods Village) which is slightly north of Houston, Texas.
Reporting Relationships: The professional will report to a senior level member of managment and have no direct reports The professional should be comfortable working in a collaborative environment where team members constructively and respectfully interact frequently with one another. It is common for the Recruiter to represent the TA team in meetings with all levels of management and provide briefs to HR leadership when needed.
Working Conditions: The work environment will be in an air-conditioned office setting requiring the employee to sit for prolonged periods while talking on the phone, reading from a computer monitor, and typing on a keyboard. In addition, the team member may occasionally lift items that weigh up to 10 pounds. Sometimes, the team member may be asked to travel by way of common transportation to recruiting or other work-related events. There may be some overnight travel with advanced notice.
