Overview:
We are seeking a skilled IT Helpdesk Support professional with expertise in network administration to join our dynamic team in the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and support to end-users while ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide frontline technical support and assistance to end-users experiencing IT-related issues.
2. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, diagnose root causes, and implement effective solutions promptly.
3. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and network devices.
4. Administer network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points to ensure optimal performance and security.
5. Monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive measures to maintain network reliability and stability.
6. Collaborate with IT team members and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues and implement system upgrades or enhancements.
7. Maintain accurate records of IT assets, inventory, and software licenses.
8. Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT best practices, security protocols, and software applications.
9. Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in IT support and network administration.
10. Adhere to compliance regulations and standards related to healthcare IT systems and patient data security.
Requirements :
1. bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
2. Proven experience in IT helpdesk support and network administration, preferably in a healthcare setting.
3. Strong knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, etc.).
4. Proficiency in administering Windows and/or Linux-based operating systems.
5. Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting utilities.
6. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare industry standards is desirable.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
8. Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with end-users, colleagues, and stakeholders.
9. Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are a plus.
