Job description
The Division of Pediatric Palliative Care at Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital is seeking a motivated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing team of providers. The selected candidate will partner with an experienced team of specialists to help improve the quality of life for patients with life limiting conditions. Responsibilities include performing inpatient and outpatient consults, attending multidisciplinary clinics, and working closely with chaplain services and the integrative therapy team. Candidates must have a national Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification. A BLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire. Advanced Hospice and Palliative Nurse Certification preferred.
Schedule requirements are Monday thru Friday, 8 AM 5 PM, with weekends and holiday call coverage, as needed. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
