Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Litigation Defense Attorney to join their growing team. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manage a litigation caseload from inception to completion, conducting 50+ hearings.
• Prepare and draft various legal arguments, drafts, settlements, and other relevant legal materials.
• Evaluate medical causation and interact with medical professionals.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, co-counsel, and partners.
• Independently drafts pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other file documents.
• Apply CPLR discovery rules to evaluate and enforce both external and internal compliance.
• Build and maintain internal and external client relationships.
• Organize claim resolution goals and execute strategies presented.

Qualifications:

• A Juris Doctorate from an accredited university is required.
• 5+ years of experience defending personal injury claims.
• Must be licensed to practice in New York State.
• Experience with premises liability claims is a plus.
• Must have excellent organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
