JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to lead multiple internal and external functions of new site launch operations and maintenance for facilities and ensures safe working environments. Serves as the leader of multiple sites, which is responsible for every aspect of the MHE Team. Provides technical leadership and mentoring to Maintenance teams of multiple new sites. Leads the execution of recruiting, onboarding site readiness, monitoring compliance to launch and site operations KPIs on a daily basis, and guide the CBRE MHE Team to provide immediate solutions to any equipment downtime that may occur.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors and maintains a safety first culture in which CBRE employees return home in the same condition they reported to work in. Must lead by example and maintain ownership in delivering safety training on daily basis with the on-site team.

Provides leadership, mentor, and manage site-based Maintenance Managers and Area Maintenance Manager in our clients Fulfillment Network. Develops maintenance department business plans and provide guidance and direction for the successful implementation of those plans.

Develops and implements Reliability plans that support increasing the Uptime of the facility.

Drives maintenance best practices: innovates, documents, improves work methods, standardizes, provides a safe work environment and requires safe work practices, trains, commissions equipment, collects, measures, and analyzes key performance indicators to improve processes and improve customer’s experience. Offers guidance to senior leadership on maintenance and equipment end of life ( EOL ) issues using ROI , and other analytical techniques.

Provides oversight for budget development and execution, and capital planning. Helps manage vendor support and equipment relationships and leverage our client’s network size to maximize economies of scale.

Provides monitoring, auditing and enforcement of maintenance execution, safe work practices, and institutes and audits training drills across the network. Leverages the entire Maintenance team for the benefit of the network. Develops and manages budget and contract documents including RFPs, change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing.

Provides Fulfillment Center General Managers with visibility over the Conduct of Maintenance in their fulfillment centers.

Recruits, interviews, and hires bar raising talent in the Maintenance Managers and Maintenance Area Manager roles helping create a world-class Maintenance organization.

Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approves subordinate’s recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company’s values.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) required.

Minimum of 10+ years experience managing and coaching employee performance in a manufacturing environment, required. Must include experience in project management and Amazon leadership experience.

+8 years working directly with the maintenance and upkeep of manufacturing equipment in a manufacturing environment required.

Background in packaging automation, distribution processes, mechanical systems involving power transmission through gearboxes and belts, and an understanding of control systems is a plus.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Ability to work and lead employees in a safe and efficient manner.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and/or schematics.

Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used to perform maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment.

Understanding of predictive maintenance technologies such as (thermography, vibration analysis, and air borne ultra-sound).

Proven knowledge of utilizing maintenance systems to achieve world class equipment maintenance.

Must demonstrate leadership and good judgment in making decisions.

Must have a working knowledge of repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.

Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.

Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
