Job description
Triple Cities Metal Finishing is hiring for 1st shift Quality Inspector to join our team!
ABOUT THE JOB:
- Accept or reject finished parts
- Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
- Report inspection and test data
- Document rework (documenting the issue, determining the cause and corrective action, and coordinating with the Quality Manager & Production Management team)
- Assist the Quality Manager with daily tasks
- Assist QA compliance objectives and ensure that targets are achieved
- Assess suppliers' and own companies' product specifications and customer requirements
- Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
- Setup and maintain controls and documentation
- Identify relevant quality-related training needs
- Assist with writing technical and management system reports
- Bring together staff of different disciplines and drive the group to plan, formulate, and agree comprehensive quality procedures
- Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports
- Read blueprints and specifications
- Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards
- Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process
- Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced
- Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometer
SCHEDULE:
- Monday-Friday from 7am-3:30pm
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
- Ability to use specialized tools and machinery when testing products
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Understand and read blueprints, technical documents, and manuals, ensuring that products and parts meet quality standards
