The Hampton - Newport News Community Service Board is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Manager. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing all programmatic and administrative aspects of the ACT program, aimed at providing intensive, all-encompassing integration services to individuals with mental illness and co-occurring substance-related disorders.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a multidisciplinary team of medical, behavioral health, and rehabilitative professionals.
• Oversee service coordination, psychiatric assessment and treatment, medication management, substance use services, counseling/therapy, vocational services, mental health support services, peer support, and representative payee services.
• Ensure adherence to program admission criteria, focusing on severe and persistent mental illness, predominantly Schizophrenia, and high service needs.
• Implement a personalized approach, adjusting service levels to reflect the evolving needs of individuals over time.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive environment within the team to achieve the overall goals of the ACT program.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services provided, making data-driven decisions to improve client outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with licensing requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Human Services with considerable experience in case management service to individuals with mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse problems, including supervisory expe rience. Must be registered with the Board of Counseling to practice as a QMHP-A.

Preferred Qualifications:

Licensed as an LPC, LCSW, or LCP.
