Job description
Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Employment Law Attorney to serve as a trusted advisor to our business clients. You will help our clients navigate the complexities of state and federal employment laws, regulations, and regulations. You will provide advice on employee relations, policies, compliance, litigation, government investigations, wage and hour issues, workplace safety, restrictive covenants, discrimination, retaliation, disability accommodations, employee separations, family and medical leave, and other areas of employment law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on general employment law matters, such as compliance with relevant laws, policies, and regulations.
- Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings or before administrative law judges.
- Analyze case law, legislative developments, and other legal materials relevant to employment law.
- Draft and review employment contracts, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
- Advise clients on employment-related issues, such as wage and hour issues, workplace safety, and restrictive covenants.
- Conduct internal investigations and respond to government audits.
- Develop and update client policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Provide training and education to clients on relevant employment law topics.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active state bar admission and in good standing.
- 2 - 5 years of experience practicing employment law.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
