State Director Annual Salary: $70,000
As the State Director for . executes and accomplishes the vision of the state board and CEF®USA.
State Director General Responsibilities
- Fulfill the purpose of
- Has the drive to execute the vision of the state board and CEF USA.
- Oversee all aspects of the state ministry – leadership, ministry, finance, and administration of CEF Tennessee.
State Ministry
- Able to promote and example a personal prayer life.
- Pursue churches and Christian businesses including the identification, recruitment, equipping, development, and encouragement of others to participate with God in this ministry.
- Maintain an understanding of today’s child and evaluate the effectiveness of CEF programs such as ® and
- Preserve and improve Christian Youth In Action as a next generation recruitment tool for future leaders.
- Establish new chapters, develop local committees, and improve chapter effectiveness across Tennessee.
State Leadership
- Be a steward of the people God has entrusted to you. This includes local committees, directors and staff. This will require providing encouragement, counsel, direction and training.
- Lead the development and evaluation of ministry goals, vision and strategic plans.
- Collaborate with the state board in raising sufficient funds for the ministry.
- Provide annual performance reviews for all ministry staff.
- Meet with the state board on developing a succession plan for the state director and all local directors.
- Hold a passion for business, performance, long-term relationships, and the ability to work solutions with collaborative accountability.
State Administration
- Know, understand and support all CEF policies and procedures that result in proper governance.
- Maintain accurate and complete records, working with the state board to develop an annual state budget as well as the approval of local chapter budgets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills together with an aptitude for utilizing cloud-based technology and a variety of digital tools.
State Director Qualifications
- This Candidate must posses strong leadership skills including the ability to mentor, build and develop teams. A great example is found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus.
- A demonstrated love for Jesus Christ, spiritual disciplines and prayer, with a passion to reach children with the Gospel.
- A continual learner, relevant, big-picture thinker, strategist, lover of people.
- Able to cast vision, yet able to critically evaluate the state ministry, strategize and implement for maximum outcomes.
- Strong meeting and workshop facilitation skills, a bias for results, strong personal initiative, the ability to work with little supervision, and be a team player.
- Completion of one year of Bible college training. (Candidates may be allowed to test out of this requirement. Qualification can be fulfilled for free at )
- The candidate will complete the 12-week within the first two years of ministry, including a mentorship program.
- Our State Director collaborates with the State Board to raise financial support.
- Keep a mindset that values other Christian organizations as ministry partners.
- CEF experience or knowledge will be considered a great asset.
Comments
This position offers an annual salary of $70,000 and will be vacant as of April 1, 2024.
An ideal candidate would be located in middle Tennessee. Flexibility for increased travel in a remote scenario across the state could be an option.
