The intern will be supporting with maintaining CAP4Kids Columbus social media accounts, up-to-date listing of family resources on the CAP4Kids Columbus website, and other marketing initiatives

Schedule: 1 year internship with a requirement of 20 hours per week

• Maintaining CAP4Kids social media accounts
• Creating monthly editorial and content calendars for social content and ads
• Creating daily social media posts and bi-monthly advertisements to support Cap4Kids annual social goals
• Utilizing a social media management tool
• Analyzing social media data, creating goals, and presenting data to the CAP4Kids team
• Assist Coordinator with community outreach events and professional conferences
• Other marketing initiatives
• Promote CAP4Kids resources to internal and external stakeholders
• Help with strategic mailings
• Support Community Resource Coordinator with monthly newsletter
• Researching and validating referral sources

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Marketing, English or related field.
• Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Experience with social media, Facebook Ads Manager, marketing, website design and management is a plus.
• A self-motivated learner that takes initiative and can work independently to complete tasks.
• Ability to effectively and creatively present information in both written and oral form.
• Accuracy and attention to detail along with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of staff, donors, and volunteers.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• A passion for child advocacy.
