Job Title: Field Machinist Job Description As a Field Machinist, you'll be responsible for the operation of a range of machines, including Manual Mills and Lathes, Vertical Turret Lathes (up to 240 Inch), Vertical Boring Mills, Drill Presses, and Vertical Grinders. Your duties will also include the machining, repair, and rebuilding of various components such as pumps, shafts, gears, drives, valves, and turbines. Given the high level of customization in our work, proficiency in machining unique, one-off pieces is a must. You'll also be using hand tools to make adjustments to the machines. Hard Skills - Operation of Manual Mills and Lathes - Operation of Vertical Turret Lathes - Operation of Vertical Boring Mills - Operation of Drill Presses - Operation of Vertical Grinders - Machining, repair, and rebuilding of components - Machining unique, one-off pieces - Use of hand tools for machine adjustments Soft Skills - Teamwork - Willingness to work with others on custom projects Job Type This is a Contract position with a duration of 12 Week(s). Work Site This is a traveling position Work Environment Traveling to various power, paper and pulp plants. The working hours are from 6 to 6 on both ends of the clock. The dress code includes work boots, jeans, a polo, and eye protection.
