Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Security Engineer (70% route/switch/wireless, 30% security) to join our team. (100% remote) The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network security, including certifications such as CCIE Security, CCIE R&S, or CCDE, and desired experience with Palo Alto firewall. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and reliability of our network infrastructure.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Configure and troubleshoot advanced route/switch and datacenter technologies, including, but not limited to, service-provider grade BGP, complex OSPF and EIGRP environments, multicast, and large switching deployments. **
* It is expected that if working on a customer issue that exceeds your wireless skillset that you are comfortable learning it “on the fly.”
* ALL Break fix! They MUST be ok with that! Very hands on.
* 70% router, switches and wireless / 30% Security
* Untangle pre-existing complex and complex customer environments
* **Configure and troubleshoot security technologies, including, but not limited to, Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower, etc.**
* Superior customer service / desire to create relationships with customers and drive technical relationships forward.
* This is posting sales/deployment/troubleshooting role, but our post sales team often engages in long-term, multi-year initiatives and we are looking for engineers comfortable with and able to further customer relationships.
* Must be a self-starter, require little supervision, and take on additional responsibilities voluntarily.
**Rquirements:**
* 4+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
* **Familiarity required with Cisco Wireless LAN controllers.**
* **Configure, troubleshoot advanced router/switch and datacenter tech's- BGP, Complex OSPF and EIGRP environments.**
* **Configured Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers -be willing to learn on the fly**
* **Experience with CISCO ASA, and CLI**
* Experience with creating and troubleshooting IPSEC VPNs.
* Intermediate knowledge of Cisco AnyConnect
* Palo Alto Firewall experience is desired, if not experienced, ability to achieve a PCNSA with 90 days.
* **Experience providing technical leadership to clients to untangle pre-existing complicated customer environments. **
* Experience creating world-class documentation after project completion.
* Experience providing technical "big picture" architecture to clients and prospective clients.
* **CCNP R&S / Enterprise Infrastructure Required **
* Expertise in mid-size Meraki deployments (Firewall / Switching / Wireless)
* Light Project Management Skills required.
* Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
* Willingness to learn new technologies, sometimes in your own time, is a requirement.
* Light Project Management and Communication skills
**Desirable skills:**
* **In addition, CCNP Security and/or PCNSA ****Highly Desired**
* CCIE R&S or Security
* Palo Alto
* Exposure to modern Cisco R&S Technologies desired: SD-WAN (Viptela), ACI, DNA Center. Willingness to rapidly learn, sometimes on your own time, any gaps in expertise.
