Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist
At Hive, LLC, we are seeking a Certified Electronic Health Records (EHR) Specialist to join our team. As an EHR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining patient electronic health records. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation, as well as efficient workflows within the electronic health record system. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of various EHR softwares and medical terminology, as well as strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Pull patient medical records and provide proper documentation for unpaid insurance claims
- Communicate with healthcare professionals to obtain necessary information for accurate record-keeping
- Organize and maintain electronic health records, ensuring security and confidentiality
- Perform data entry and verification to ensure accuracy of patient information
- Collaborate with healthcare team to identify areas for improvement in EHR documentation and workflows
Requirements
- Certification as an Electronic Health Records Specialist
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with EHR systems
- In-depth knowledge of various EHR softwares and medical terminology
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Basic knowledge of CPT coding
- Familiarity with HIPAA requirements and regulations
