Job description
We are seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to join the dynamic team at Bethesda, Maryland to provide healthcare support to our active duty.
Duties/Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
-Prepare and review case histories and obtain data through interviews of patients.
-Administer appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic nerve blocks in the treatment of acute and chronic pain.
-Provide resuscitative care during a cardiopulmonary arrest, and sedation or general anesthetic care at remote locations.
-Assist in the activities of the recovery room and administer appropriate drug and respiratory therapy in the recovery room setting.
-Implement the proper use of mechanical ventilators in the recovery room, and as necessary, in the intensive care units.
-Interpret tests results and evaluate findings.
-Work under the general professional direction of the Chief of Anesthesiology Services (Medical Director).
Qualifications:
-Degree/Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
-Certifications: Board Certified. Must be a diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) and must be participants in the Maintenance of Certification Anesthesia (MOCA) program run by the ABA.
-Have current BLS and ACLS if required by the client experience.
-Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an anesthesiology internship and residency program which has been approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the Committee on Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association.
-Experience: A minimum of five (5) years experience as an Anesthesiologist is required.
-Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Work Hours:
This is for full-time support an eight (8) hour duty day from hours of 0700-1600.
