EquipmentShare is Hiring a Telematics Trainer
EquipmentShare is searching for a Telematics Trainer for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow. This position can work remotely.
EquipmentShare is seeking a Telematics Trainer to be responsible for developing, coordinating, scheduling, updating and maintaining Telematics training programs, calendars, records and personnel. Serve as an example and a liaison to ensure EquipmentShare maintains and recruits the highest quality Telematics Installation workforce, as well as provide Telematics knowledge across all departments within Equipmentshare
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform job duties in accordance with EquipmentShare's vision, mission, and values.
- Establish and maintain professional working relationships with internal departments and rental/retail markets across the organization.
- Manage time effectively to ensure training, assignments, and special projects are done on time.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of telematics hardware and diagnostic procedures.
- Keep up with the ever growing changes that are made within the telematics department.
- Keep up to date with our current hardware including the changing firmwares, as well as future hardware making its way into our inventory
- Establish and maintain professional relationships within all departments in Equipmentshare.
- Ensure all attendance and certification records for training are given to the appropriate personnel to be added to Equipmentshare's Data Asset Management System (DAMS).
- Communicate training and course schedules, availability, requirements, due dates, and completions to learners, internal managers, and external managers.
- Assist in promoting EquipmentShare University and other EquipmentShare resources to internal and external customers.
- Monitor the [email protected] email account.
- Monitor and support Slack channels, ES-Ops pages, and other means of communication to identify and meet employee and branch training needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned that pertain to telematics training.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of all diagnostic equipment available to Equipmentshare.
- Develop training resources and material for the purpose of tier based training.
- Understanding our budget system and knowing when to reach out with questions if needed.
- Understanding all related SOPs.

- 2-3 years of Telematics installation experience minimum.
- Must be comfortable to talk and present in front of multiple known/unknown people at any given time.
- Must be up to date with EquipmentShares telematics hardware, operation, and installation
- Experience with electronic devices- apple and windows based.
- Must be okay with traveling regularly
- Must be able to perform hands-on training duties at Equipmentshare locations.
- Must be okay to work remote when not actively training
- Traveling to various locations for hands-on training
- Must be okay to fly or drive locations
