Looking to build the foundation for your career in real estate? The Greystar Summer Internship Program is a 10-week immersive opportunity in which interns discover new skills and gain hands-on experience while working for the leading multifamily real estate developer, investor, owner, and operator. As a Greystar intern, you will gain exposure to all aspects of our business – development & construction, investment management, property management, and enterprise services – through daily work experience, intern events, and workshops including:

JOB DESCRIPTION
Property Accounting Interns will experience the many job responsibilities of an Accountant at Greystar including c ash m anagement and b anking, a ccounts p ayable, c apital t ransactions, and f inancial r eporting. Interns will apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to analyze financial information, reconcile financial statements, prepare general and standard journal entries, assist in budget development, and prepare standard accounting and financial reports for management.
Responsibilities:
Learn and understand the line of business, day-to-day responsibilities of the team, and h ow it function s within the broader real estate business
Complete in-house training programs for various applications and operational techniques
Work closely with Senior Team members to complete and analyze financial and administrative reports
Help with special projects
Build relationships and p artner with other Greystar teams to reach goals
C onduct research and prepar e an assessment of a conceptual idea within the department
Qualifications:
Curiosity and a desire to learn
Q uantitative background that demonstrates analytical and problem-solving abilit ies
W orking knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint .
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and capability to articulate complex topics .
H igh standard of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines
Preferred major: Accounting or related degree
Graduating between December 2024 and June 2025

Compensation is based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, may be eligible for a discretionary weekly, monthly and/or quarterly bonus based on budget.
