As an employee-owned and operated business, we take pride in our superior customer service and professional staff. We are seeking a sales and project consultant to join our team.

Position:  Sales and Project Consultant

We're looking for customer service enthusiasts who can help home and business owners find the right products for their project. Our sales and project consultant team members offer design and product recommendations to residential and business clients and serve as project managers to ensure the sales and installation process go smoothly and exceed client expectations. While you will certainly be expected to soak up product knowledge, your most important trait is the ability to bond with clients. You're the kind of person that clients naturally like and trust. This position earns commission on sales in addition to the starting base hourly rate.

Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding customer service
• Help clients with selection of products for their project both in-home and in-store
• Process customer orders using point of sale software
• Accurately handle cash and credit payment methods
• Ensure accurate sales records and database maintenance
• Undergo extensive product and sales training to become a technical expert in all products sold
• Keep up-to-date on the wide selection of products we offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each
• Maintain a harmonious work environment
• Contribute to a team effort and accomplish team objectives
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain a clean and tidy store

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience in the design and flooring industry preferred
• Proven record providing outstanding client service
• Willing to continually learn and develop skills and product knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong mathematical skills to perform basic arithmetic and geometry for project estimates
• Exceptional organization, time management, and project management skills
• Bilingual English and Spanish fluency strongly preferred
• A passion for, or experience with, decorating or design
• Work schedule will include Saturdays
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace programs and a willingness to learn our operating systems
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation
• Lift up to 30 lbs
