As a member of an Agile Team for the Delivery Services Group, selected candidate will be a member of a highly-skilled and motivated team responsible for the assessment, design and implementation of cloud-based solutions in a variety of software applications and integrated systems. An SAIC Agile Team is currently expanding to support a cloud-computing project for the Air Force.
This is a full-time remote job that can be worked anywhere within the U.S.
The candidate will work with various Air Force and Army C#/.NET and Java applications, enhancing and migrating them to the Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Computing Environments (CCE). Candidate will be required to collaborate with other Agile Team members and engineers as SAIC, and outside of SAIC, for software development activities and general cloud integration. As expected, candidate will be developing using an Agile development environment, using various DevSecOps tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, GitLab (Git), Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes. Candidate should be familiar with cloud-computing concepts, and capable of working with potential application migration customers within the DoD community. Candidate needs to be able to prepare and present technical material to small and large audiences as needed.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCAITON AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering and 14 years or more experience. Master's degree in Computer Science / Engineering and 12 years or more experience.
- Scrum Master and/or Product Owner experience/certification.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Should be extremely comfortable using Linux/Windows development and build environments, as well as standard Visual Studio and Eclipse / NetBeans-based IDEs and other O/S command line tools.
- Possess general knowledge of experience with Linux O/S and Windows O/S commands, and a good understanding of the C# and Java programming languages.
- Five or more years of hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, AWS Native services for Continuous Delivery and familiarity with Azure ADO.
- Experience working with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration frameworks like ECS and Kubernetes.
- Five or more years of experience building IaC using Terraform and other frameworks.
- A basic understanding of UI/UX concepts, both application and web-facing.
- Able to analyze, refactor, compile and test source code.
- Understand and utilize Git configuration management tools.
- Understanding of advanced cloud computing principles.
- Understanding of basic object-oriented concepts and complex data structures.
- Well versed with working in a Cloud environment primarily AWS and Azure and ability architect solutions proposing cloud migrations from on-prem.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience/Certifications with Amazon S3/EC2/CloudFront.
- Experience/Certifications with Microsoft Azure Cloud.
- React/Angular UX experience.
