Summary
The HR Generalist will assist in the day-to-day management and administrative tasks of talent acquisition, training and development, performance and talent management, safety and employee relations.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Leads recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried positions.
• Working with HR Manager to recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
• Lead onboarding activities and working to enhance processes to ensure a positive and informative introductory experience.
• Assist with coordinating employee social and wellness activities.
• Assist with deploying policies and practices that ensure an engaging, inclusive, rewarding and safe workplace experience.
• Providing support for various human resource functions, including benefits administration, and payroll/timekeeping processes.
• Attend and participate in employee investigations, disciplinary matters/meetings, and terminations.
• Provides backup support for HR Specialist
• Assist reception team – receive calls and welcome guests
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Human Resources (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of professional HR experience
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat.
• Fantastic organization skills
• Able to work both independently and as a member of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Prior experience in a position requiring a high degree of confidentiality.
• Prior experience dealing with the general public: demonstrated sensitivity; ability to listen and deal warmly and empathetically with a wide range of people.
• Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent oral and written communication.
• Strong command of the English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

This is an on-site position at our HQ in Plymouth, MI.
