Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Compensation Administration, the Coordinator of Position Management is responsible for position creation, updates, tracking, and year-end budget position control and entry.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements*- Creates new, maintains existing, and deactivates inactive positions, while documenting changes on tracking spreadsheets throughout the year
- Performs year-end position updates related to budget and organizational realignments
- Maintains positions on the organizational chart
- Monitors inbound requests, collaborates with internal customers to ensure complete and accurate information, and enters updates into online and Excel-based tracking systems
- Gathers position data and reports information internally and externally as approved
- Evaluates opportunities for improvements, makes recommendations aligned to existing policies and regulations, and implements approved improvements to position management practices and processes
- Assists with special projects as assigned and acts as a backup for basic compensation functions when others are unavailable
Service Excellence - Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
- Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision Works under the general supervision of the Director of Compensation Administration

Required Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree or 60 college-level hours completed
- One (1) year's working experience in a Human Resources department
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, Organizational Behavior, or related field
- Current Human Resources Certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
- At least one (1) year's working experience in Tarrant County College's Office of Human Resources
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of position management practices
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
- Skilled using HRIS applications and enterprise systems, including Microsoft 365
- Skilled in the effective collection, organization, analysis, and reporting of data, including large data sets; using this information to develop sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and regulations
- Skilled in accurate data entry, exhibiting an understanding of the related information and its use
- Ability to collaborate effectively
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied and unpredictable in scope and volume
- Ability to adaptively perform and prioritize multiple tasks and projects seamlessly, ensuring accurate and timely completion while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to maintain a high level of diplomacy and tact, ensuring confidentiality and discretion with sensitive and confidential information
