Position Description

Lesner Hearing Center LLC is an independent audiology and dispensing practice in Northern Virginia.    Our strong commitment to improving the communication competence in adults and children with hearing loss has earned us excellent patient reviews. We have an audiologist position available while one of our audiologists will be on maternity leave from May or June through early October, 2024. Part-time will be considered as well. An Au.D. is required and licensed in audiology and hearing aid dispensing or eligible in Virginia. Both entry-level and experienced audiologists are encouraged to apply.

In addition to your excellent diagnostic and counseling skills, a track record of successful patient management including selection, dispensing and verification of HAs and ALDs and cerumen management are required. Organizational skills, attention to details, punctuality and appropriate professional demeanor and appearance are required.

• Hourly Rate: $30-40/hour, commensurate with experience

The services and products we provide include: 

• Comprehensive Audiologic Evaluation for patients age 3 years through adult.
• Hearing aids dispensed from a variety of leading manufacturers including Phonak, Widex, Oticon, Signia, ReSound and Starkey.
• Real Ear/Live Speech Mapping.
• Cerumen Management.
• Counseling for patients and their families about successful integration of hearing technology and listening strategies at home, school, work and in social life.
• Earmolds and earplugs for sleep, for swimmers, musicians and digital sound plugs for hunters.
• Accessories and ALDs, captioned telephones and Bluetooth and FM systems.

Office Hours: 9 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday and closed for lunch from 12 pm – 1 pm.

Lesner Hearing Center, an independent private practice located in Alexandria, Virginia, helps people achieve better hearing through a caring approach coupled with state-of-the-art testing and hearing technology. The practice was opened in 2004 to meet the demands for high service in hearing care in Northern Virginia. At Lesner Hearing Center, we explore the impact of hearing loss on daily living and discuss options to manage those difficulties. The solutions may include fitting high-tech hearing aids with verification, other hearing devices, counseling and developing better listening strategies. We dispense hearing aids and other Bluetooth devices from six manufacturers. The education and follow-up that we provide are keys to successful resolution of our patients’ hearing difficulties. Two audiologists currently see patients, while our patient care coordinator manages scheduling, orders and other administrative functions.
