This position supports International Paper’s Columbus Mill (CCF) located in Columbus, Mississippi . CCF is a vital part of International Paper’s Global Cellulose Fibers Business. We are a converting operation that produces specialty fibers used in the production of diapers and other absorbent personal care products.
The Job You Will Perform:
The Training Coordinator at International Paper’s Columbus Mill will be responsible for a wide range of duties within the training and development department. As the champion for the mill training program, this role is an integral part of the training team and interacts directly with operating members in training, external vendors/trainers, subject matter experts (SMEs) and department leadership. The Training Coordinator reports to the Mill Learning Leader.

The Skills You Will Bring:
Demonstrates and understands importance of and complies with Mill safety and environmental policies, procedures, and practices; acts as a role model for demonstrating correct safety and environmental behaviors (hazard recognition awareness); Must be proficient in computer applications (including SharePoint, LMS, MS Office, etc.). Understands or has experience in meeting facilitation, adult learning theory/techniques, best practices and standards for creating and delivering effective training, training needs analysis process, mill operations, and processes, Manufacturing Excellence process and tools, and situational leadership principles and techniques.
Prior work experience in training with experience in curriculum development, test development, and instruction. Qualified candidates must also possess strong writing skills, proven ability to lead by example and foster mentoring relationships; ability to create momentum and foster organizational change. Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
