What You Will Do: As a Production Operator you will build electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and components for use in the aerospace industry. Will provide support, and follow direction from Supervisor/Manager, Team Lead, Engineering Aides and Inspection personnel. This position will have direct contact with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Test Engineering, Calibration, and Supervision.
Primary Responsibilities: - Use engineering drawings, specifications, and quality assurance standards to assemble components and assemblies
- Perform basic troubleshooting of complex assemblies, assembly tools, tooling, and test equipment associated with production product, upgrades, & reworks
- Adhere to lot traceability and general inventory practices
- May be assigned tasks by supervisor/manager such as Fit-for-Use, Shelf Life and Calibration
- Will be responsible to perform self-audits of workstation or as directed to ensure compliance to system and specification requirements
- May assist Engineering with updating routings and work instructions
- May perform visual, dimensional, electrical, functional, and optical inspections per specified documentation
- Will be responsible for validating that build and inspection equipment is calibrated and/or qualified as Fit-for-Use.
Education - High school diploma or equivalent
Experience - 0-2 years’ experience working in electronics production and assembly
Specialized Skills and Abilities - Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed processing sheets; able to read and follow basic blueprints and drawings
- Must have a keen attention to detail
- Must have basic ability to operate a computer
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and effectively communicate
- Participates in problem solving teams to develop process improvements
- Willing to work extra hours, and potentially weekends
Physical Requirements: - Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Sit, stand and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day
Work Environment: - This job operates in a professional indoor, climate controlled manufacturing environment
Salary Range Please note the typical hiring range is $24.00 - $28.00 hourly. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
