This summer, you can be a part of Hulu’s Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) team! We are passionate about research, data, television, marketing, emerging media, and technology. We are the team that is redefining TV through our outstanding video streaming experience, which millions of customers use to access The Walt Disney Company's premium video content.
What You Will Do
As the CMI Intern, you will support the primary and secondary research initiatives of the team and partner closely with the Insights team in a wide range of responsibilities during the research process. We use various research methodologies, learn to integrate different types of data, and collaborate to advise business decisions throughout Hulu.
- Brainstorm with Insights Managers on various research projects to develop insights and assist with decisions regarding the brand, advertising, user engagement, and content
- Work on projects to understand different target audiences and profile key consumer groups to recommend marketing tactics
- Supervise Hulu’s competitors and consistently provide recommendations to the team
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Collaborative teammate with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of a variety of market research methodologies and their applications
- Comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative datasets, PowerPoint/Excel and Google Slides/Sheets
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and pivot to work on various projects at once while staying meticulous
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with survey tools such as Qualtrics or Survey Gizmo
- Understanding of Statistics (probability, significance testing, correlations)
- Familiarity with data analysis tools: SPSS, R, Python, SAS
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must be able to work on-site in California and have reliable transportation to/from work
- Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 through August 2024. Candidate must be available to work 40 hours/week for the duration of the internship.
Education
Currently enrolled as a junior or higher or must have graduated within the past 6 months from an accredited college/university, earning a degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Consumer Insights, Statistics, Mathematics, or related
