Job description

Join our dynamic team as a Colleague/ERP Programming Supervisor, playing a pivotal role in expanding and enhancing academic, administrative, and special purpose systems associated with Ellucian Colleague, the College's Enterprise Resource Planning System.

Responsibilities:

Manage and lead Colleague development projects, setting high standards and techniques.
Personally undertake assigned Colleague development projects to ensure successful completion.
Oversee Colleague development projects, preventing negative impacts on other processes/projects.
Hands-on supervision of Application/Decision Support services for the Colleague system, ensuring 24/7 availability.
Manage and direct the Colleague application design team, collaborating with various stakeholders for seamless support.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor the progress of development projects aligning with instructional and administrative goals.
Participate in decisions regarding hardware and software acquisitions for the Colleague system.
Evaluate and recommend new programs, applications, and tools.
Provide consultations to departments, faculty, and others to identify technology and educational technology needs.
Mentor and manage a staff of Colleague support professionals, ensuring optimal performance.
Lead discussions on technical issues within the department.
Maintain professional growth through continuing education and conferences.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Specifications:

Education:

Two-year technical degree or 8 years of experience in a full-service IT operation.
Thorough knowledge of IT technology, methods, concepts, and facilities.

Experience:

5 years or more of experience in an IT application/decision support services environment.
2 years of management experience.
Proficiency in multiple operating systems, programming languages, and application systems including UNIX, .Net, Colleague, SQL Server, and others.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
