Davis Behavioral Health is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join its medical team. There is a full-time vacancy in the Medication Management clinic located at the Layton campus. In addition, there are openings to work fill part-time/PRN needs to work in all of the nursing programs at DBH: Davis County Receiving Center located in Layton, Utah, the medication clinics located at the Layton Campus and at the Main Street Clinic on the Kaysville/Layton border, and the adult mental health residential program in Layton, Utah. DBH staff may also be expected to perform other duties as assigned by their immediate supervisor or the DBH management team.

The full-time medication management clinic nurse works with outpatient clients to help them maintain stability in the community. Primary functions include:

Part-time

Nursing shifts at DBH consist of days, swings, and graveyards, so the successful candidate must have flexibility to provide coverage when needed.

The successful candidates will be hired to fill one of the schedules below.

In addition, part-time nurses may be requested to work outside of their scheduled days to assist with coverage.

The shifts in each program are outlined below:

Davis County Receiving Center (Layton, UT)

Residential Mental Health (Layton, UT)

Medication Management Clinics (Layton, UT; Kaysville/Layton Border, UT)

Compensation

The successful candidate(s) will be offered a base rate based on post-licensure experience.

The part-time/PRN nurses will be compensated at their base rate for the guaranteed 16 hours each week. If scheduled to provide coverage beyond the 16 hours, the following pay rates are in place:

Shift Differentials

Nurses working during the graveyard shift (5:00 pm to 5:00 am) or any weekend shift (Saturday 12:00 am to Monday 12:00 am) will receive a 15% shift differential.

Required Experience

Must be licensed as either a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Utah and be in good standing.

The selected candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.

Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.

DBH utilizes an electronic health record system, so computer literacy is a must for employment.

Preference will be given for applicants who are fluent in Spanish, but this is not a requirement for employment in this opening.

Failure to pass either screening will result in the termination of any job offer submitted and/or employment for any individual who has started employment while the criminal background screening is in process. Pending and/or open charges will likely impact a candidate's ability to pass the pre-employment criminal background screening.
