Overview of the Role:
As the Senior Manager of Solution Engineering, MuleSoft Specialists SMB, you will lead a team of 6 specialist (SME) Solution Engineers and to help build a high-growth and fast-paced business in the Americas as part of a broader global strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience building high performing, diverse pre-sales teams through talent acquisition and development strategies. You will have experience operating and selling in different commercial segments, and demonstrated experience designing and implementing programmatic pre-sales motions and plays. The MuleSoft Sales and Pre-Sales teams will rely on you to collaborate with them to yield strategic customer outcomes through both your own experiences and, more importantly, through the efforts of your highly talented team. Your Solution Engineers will be Specialists in MuleSoft technologies, and will focus on delivering repeatable assets and solutions for the SMB segment of the AMER business. Responsibilities: - Hire, develop, and coach talent at all levels in the team
- Partner with Sales to create a GTM strategy and execution plan
- Establish and drive effective operational cadences for the newly formed team
- Design and refine pre-sales plays, assets, solutions and motions specific to the SMB segment, leveraging improved processes, techniques, relationships, and tools
- Participate in strategic deals and support team members as needed to grow the business
- Drive strategic initiatives and programs across Solution Engineering to actively support innovation
- Partner with Solution Engineering leadership across AMER to define SMB best practices and plays
Required Qualifications:
- Front-line SE leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive experience leading or participating in complex Solution Engineering organizations
- Track record in building organizations and hiring and training top talent
- Experience in a variety of commercial segments, including SMB
- Understanding and experience in architecture, integration, and automation technology
- Effective in customer-facing/live engagements
- Effective interpersonal skills to create senior and executive relationships with key customer stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally within Salesforce
