The IT Intern for the Las Vegas Raiders will play a crucial role in supporting the efforts of the IT team at the Las Vegas Raiders. The IT Intern will assist the Information Technology department in supporting the organization's technology infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. This internship is designed for individuals pursuing a career in IT, providing exposure to various aspects of technology support, troubleshooting, and project management within a professional sports environment. This part-time, seasonal internship is an onsite role in Las Vegas, Nevada from June 3rd, 2024, to August 9th, 2024; all candidates must be able to work the duration of this time frame. Selected interns are responsible for personal accommodations such as local housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
Essential Job Functions - Assist in resolving IT helpdesk tickets and inquiries.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
- Assist network team with supporting network infrastructure, including troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Work closely with IT team members and other departments to understand technology needs
- Assist in maintaining an inventory of IT assets, including computers, peripherals, and software licenses.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University, full-time.
- Must be an undergraduate in their junior or senior year or graduate student pursuing their Masters degree.
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Sports industry experience preferred.
- Must have the ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Familiarity with networking concepts is a plus.
- Ability to work extended hours and flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed.
Physical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to): - Sitting for long periods of time throughout shift
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25lbs
- Occasional walking, standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
