Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Technician at E-Sector, you will embark on a journey to become a valuable member of our production team. No prior experience is required, as we are looking for individuals who are open to training and eager to develop the necessary skills. This role is ideal for those who want to learn and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of manufacturing, including Fiber Laser cutting machine operation, deburring, weld preparation, sheet metal bending, welding, CNC and manual machining, programming, material handling, and inspection.
Job Duties and Tasks:
- Run and Setup Laser and/or Waterjet machine. Load material, setup program, measure and inspect parts.
- Fabrication support - Horizontal band saw, manual cutting and grinding, weld prep, blending and polishing , deburring. Occasional Milling, Drilling, tapping and other machine shop related activity.
- Measure, inspect and examine completed parts in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as calipers.
- Maintain or repair shop equipment. Troubleshooting of machine malfunctions, changing of consumable parts, replacement parts, cleaning and lubrication of equipment for preventative maintenance.
- Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
- Maintain inventory of parts in stock and quantity coming out of machines. Ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained for customer's needs.
- Ability to work independently from a priority list and schedules, etc
- Cleaning and housekeeping in a fabrication and machine shop type environment
- Must have experience in more than one of the following areas: CNC, Laser, Waterjet, Fabrication
- Must be able to adapt quickly and work with wide range of individuals with varying experience.
- This position requires the ability to manage the overall production floor while tracking a range of product complexity from products that require only a single operation to assemblies many sequences.
- Must be able to simultaneously perform the physical work in various disciplines that could be operating CNC machines, Laser, Waterjet, Saw, Delivery, Shipping, Other production related tasks.
- This requires the ability to make schedules, track them daily, and fill-in where help is needed.
- Must be comfortable and experienced using inspection tools and have a good understanding of tolerances and GD&T.
Must be able to monitor and adapt to changing customer demands and schedules
- Must be able to respectfully and openly collaborate and advise superiors for critical decision making.
- Must be able to foster an environment of safety and learning for subordinates
- G-code knowledge is a huge plus
- Manual Machinist Knowledge is a huge plus
- TIG/MIG/Certified welding is a huge plus
- Ability to work well on a team and communicate potential problems or slowdowns, and work to solve problems or offer solutions to fix the issue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fiber Laser Cutting Machine Operation: Learn to set up and operate Fiber Laser cutting machines efficiently and safely.
- Deburring and Weld Preparation: Assist in preparing and finishing metal parts for welding, including deburring and weld seam preparation.
- Sheet Metal Bending: Gain experience in operating sheet metal bending equipment to shape components to specifications.
- Welding: Participate in welding tasks to join and fabricate metal parts according to project requirements.
- CNC and Manual Machining: Receive training on operating CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision components.
- Programming: Learn to create and modify CNC programs as needed for machining tasks.
- Material Handling: Develop skills to safely handle and manage materials used in the production process.
- Quality Inspection: Assist in inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18-$25 per hour
Schedule: 8-10 hour shift
Monday to Friday
