Job description
Our client in San Diego isĀ seeking an Administrative and Event Marketing Assistant. The role will involve day-to-day customer service, job scheduling and other admin tasks, as well as participation in outdoor marketing events promoting their brand in the community.
Areas served will initially focus on. La Mesa, eastern Chula Vista, Bonita, Rancho San Diego, southern El Cajon, and northeastern Spring Valley - as well as locations immediately surrounding these areas. We will eventually move into Northeastern San Diego areas as well.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to any inquiries promptly
- Scheduling of new and current clients to include re-scheduling
- Manage groomer and sitter schedules
- Manage client files and update the information accordingly
- Ensure all visits are assigned and completed
- Manage Outlook correspondence and respond on time
- Follow company procedures to organize messages
- Add appointment notes for groomers and sitters
- Be an emergency backup sitter!
Event Marketing Responsibilities:
- Participate in set-up and tear-down of event tents, tables, etc.
- Promote the brand to potential customers at events.
- Help manage queue of dogs for any bathing, nail trimming, or other services being performed as part of the event by grooming staff
- Contributions of event marketing ideas welcomed
- Help to manage any canine helper(s) we bring to the event!
Qualifications;
- Reliable with positive energy
- Have a love of animals/pets
- Would enjoy meeting with customers and promoting our pet services
- 1 to 3 yrs. of customer service experience
- 1 to 3 yrs. of data entry experience
- Event marketing experience is desirable
- Previous use of scheduling software desired, but not necessary
- Detailed-oriented for administrative tasks
- Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
