Job Description

Reporting to the Groups Pastor on the Discipleship Team, the Groups Coordinator will be the driving administrative force behind Groups (Rooted and Life Groups) at Mariners Irvine. The ideal candidate will have the ability to create and manage systems that support the department while demonstrating excellent relational and interpersonal skills with the ministry team, staff, volunteers and congregants through various tasks including:

• Manage on-campus room reservations and details for all Rooted and Life Group related events
• Administer and attend all Rooted gatherings and trainings and relevant Life group events 
• Maintain group systems and metrics within the database, including group rosters
• Maintain communication systems including email, website upkeep and podcasts scheduling
• Ability to complete a wide range of tasks including email correspondence, spreadsheets, phone inquiries, digital file management and more

Qualifications

• Customer service attitude and energy
• Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Possess good organizational skills and efficient work characteristics
• Ability to work comfortably within Google Suite.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
