Overview

A diverse skill-set is needed for execution of the scope of multiple tasks ranging from detailed design to construction support to system testing to sustainment. Engineers use a design-build-sustain approach and work in a team environment to interface with designers, component and system engineers, operations, planning and testing organizations within the shipyard and with our Navy customer.

The job responsibilities include system diagram development, fluid system analysis, fluid system design calculations, design disclosure development, system test plan development, system operating and maintenance procedure development. This requires teaming skills, analysis, calculations, technical writing, presentations, adaptability, and agile learning.

Responsibilities

Engineer I and Engineer II candidates must possess:

• The oral and written skills necessary to communicate directly with our stakeholders and Navy Customers, also be able to develop and deliver technical presentations
• Senior Engineer candidates must also possess the ability to lead a team and work independently with minimal oversight

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in Mechanical, Marine, Aeronautical, Civil, Chemical, or related engineering discipline
• 0-9 years of engineering experience
• Internal Candidates must be from organizations outside of operations (Casciano/Gabriel)
