About This Role: The Division of Financial Services is seeking a Director of Financial Reporting. The Director manages all operations and activities of the Financial Reporting unit including the day-to-day supervision of operations, as well as the overall internal and external financial reporting. The Director is responsible for the creation of the University's Annual Financial Report, SEFA report, HERD survey, additional internal and external reports, and serves as the main contact for audits.
This positions responsibilities include performing diverse, specialized, and complex work involving significant accountability and decision-making, requiring an extensive professional background as well as skill in coordinating projects and staff responsibilities. This position is required to lead utilizing technology, industry tools, and best practices to modernize policies and procedures regarding accounting and reporting activities for the University.

Worksite Options: This position is eligible for
hybrid worksite. Work is performed partially remote and partially on employer premises or designated assignment location. This role is expected to work on-site approximately three (3) days a week.

What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications: - Requires a bachelor's degree and five to 10 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field.
- Three (3) years accounting and/or financial reporting related work experience in an automated environment.
- Excellent written communication skills as demonstrated in application materials.
- Experience in organizations comparable to Kansas State University in terms of budget, size, complexity, and scope of operations.
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, Word, and Power BI.
- Strong computer and technical skills including the ability to query and analyze data, and leverage technology to improve processes.
- Three years Supervisory experience.
- Master's degree in accounting, finance, business or other related field.
- CPA certificate or license.
