TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR - FULL TIME Job Goal: To support the hardware, software and infrastructure of the district with leadership, supervisory, technical and administrative skills to support the educational development of all students and staff. Performance Responsibilities: Prepare the RSU 16 technology budget in coordination with the administrative team. Implement system upgrades and technology replacement cycles. Develop and maintain networks within RSU 16 buildings. Supervise IT Technicians, disseminate information, prioritize work, and assist as a resource for all users. Support the Technology Coach for integration into the district's instructional programs. Support the webmaster and Database Specialist, as needed Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of student and staff performance, written and verbal records. Standardize all hardware, including computers, printers, firewalls, and network equipment within the set budget. Standardize software whenever possible in all areas within the set budget. Direct purchases of all technology-related hardware and software for the district. Maintain an inventory of all software licenses. Develop and propose technology-related policies for the district. Establish network protocols and IP addressing schemes. Attend RSU 16 School Board meetings when necessary, briefing on matters regarding the K-12 technology program. Oversee system administration and Infinite Campus database, Google domain, JAMF Pro MDM and IncidentIQ Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent. Required Skills: Experience in technology and strategic technology development in a K-12 educational setting. Self-directed, organized, with excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge and experience with Windows 10/11, MacOS, Chrome OS, iOS operating systems. Familiarity with computer hardware, software, peripherals, firewalls, networking, wireless technologies, and Cybersecurity protocols. Collaborate with vendors and school maintenance personnel on school security systems. Manage inventory and maintenance of all computers and related hardware. Oversee and annually evaluate positions of Technology Technician. Terms of Employment: Salary, length of the work year and working conditions to be established by the Superintendent. Supervisor: Your immediate supervisor will be the RSU 16 Superintendent of Schools. Evaluation: The Superintendent will evaluate this position annually.
