Summary:
Summit Technologies, Inc. is seeking talented individuals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to work asRole Players to aid the Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) Recurrent Training Program at the Dallas Federal Flight Deck Officer Recurrent Training Facility, Coppell, TX. This position serves a larger team who provides role player services as an integral part of training exercises for the FFDO. These training exercises are designed to teach FFDO law enforcement tasks in various realistic situations. Work location is at the Dallas Federal Flight Deck Officer Recurrent Training Facility, Coppell, Texas, adjacent to the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
500-1600 man-hours monthly
Role Players as an integral part of training exercises for theFederal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO)training.
These training exercises are designed to teach the FFDO law enforcement tasks in various realistic situations.
Role players must have the ability to perform through an inflexible script as well as on an impromptu basis. Depending on the situation, a role player must be able to “live” a role and freely adapt to it in response to the actions of each individual FFDO.
Each role player must be able to adjust to a variety of outcomes and react in the manner most appropriate to the way in which each situation develops, including:
Provide daily support to the FFDO training program, aiding in the reality-based training drills and scenarios.
“Live” a role using inflexible scripted scenarios and through an impromptu basis.
Adapt roles as needed in a realistic manner as the training situation dictates.
Training on the use of NLTA firearms, marking cartridges, and protective equipment will be completed by a FFDO Instructor who is certified in Non-Lethal Training Ammunition or equivalent.
Schedule:
Role player’s services will primarily be required between the hours of 0600 through 1800, weekdays excluding Federal holidays. However, work hours may begin before 0600 or be extended past 1800 based on the requirements of the FFDOTraining Program.
Weekends may be required throughout the year, primarily when a holiday occurs during the workweek or dictated by the requirements of the FFDO Training Program.
Role player’s support services will be a minimum of four hours per day per role player except for demonstrations and remedial sessions, which will be a minimum of two hours per day per role player.
Role Player personnel before each scheduled training event at least 30 minutes prior to the start.
At the end of each scheduled event, Role Players shall participate in an exercise critique led by the Role Player Supervisor or Project Manager. This critique will not exceed 30 minutes following the scheduled event all Role Player Personnel will be compensated during this critique
Role Player Personnel can drive personally owned vehicles to both training facilities. The parking area for all personnel will be identified by the RP Manager. All Role Player Personnel must comply with the speed limits, traffic guidelines, and parking regulations.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Be at least 18 years of age.
Possess or be able to possess a driving license by the time of hire.
No record or conviction of drug abuse/involvement or alcohol abuse.
No criminal record except minor traffic offenses. Minor traffic offenses do not include driving under the influence.
No conviction of a felony/misdemeanor crime or domestic violence.
Speak, read, and write English at the high school level.
Must receive favorable “eligibility of determination” suitability checks through the TSA Office of Personnel Security (PerSec).
Role Player personnel will comply with the Privacy Act of 1974. Pursuant to the Homeland Security Act of 2002, the Role Player will not disclose any information related to the Department of Homeland Security, the Transportation Security Administration, the Federal Flight Deck Officer Recurrent Training Program, its entities, employees or contractors without prior written approval.
All Role Player Personnel are required to have the ability to conduct the following tasks:
Stand for long periods of time
Lift at least 35 pounds
Lie in the prone position for long periods of time
Be handcuffed utilizing approved training handcuffs for long periods of time in various positions, i.e., standing, sitting, prone.
Utilize various training aids, not limited to but including the following: Non-Lethal Training Ammunition (NLTA) firearms, marking cartridges, training knives, and inert improvised explosive devices.
Must be willing to participate in reality-based training utilizing approved Non-Lethal Training Ammunition (NLTA) firearms and marking cartridges; all protective equipment will be provided by the Contractor.
Role Player Personnel must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement if Sensitive Security Information (SSI) is handled
