Job description

A new full-time Registered Nurse Supervisor position is now available with Liberty Healthcare’s mental health program located onsite at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

With over three thousand beds, the West Valley Detention Center is one of the largest county jails in the State of California and the United States.

As Liberty Healthcare’s Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the health and wellbeing of very many justice-involved adults who are experiencing mental illness, while also providing nursing leadership to an amazing team of Registered Nurses.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Mental Health Clinicians, ancillary clinicians, security staff, and other RNs

• Assisting in the hiring, training, development, supervision, scheduling, and management of RNs

• Serving as a contributing member of the program’s leadership team

• Rounding on units, assessing patients, implementing physician orders, and providing direct nursing care

• Participating in quality assurance activities and helping to enhance policies and procedures

• Contributing to a positive workplace culture and participating in nurse recruitment and retention initiatives

You have the option to work a traditional five day workweek with 8 hour days or a compressed workweek with four ten hour days.

As a full-time employee of Liberty Healthcare in this role, you can expect:

• Starting pay between $120,000 and $130,000 (depending on qualifications)
