Job description
Our Aurora office is looking for an awesome Dental Hygiene Assistant to help our growing team! The preferred candidate will work with our incredible dental hygienists and dentists to provide patients with a pleasant and calming hygienist experience. This is a part-time job (3 days every week). Full-time prospects will be available after a 3-month trial period.
We welcome all new dental assistants and DA graduates! Experience or certification required.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting and seating patients in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Taking accurate x-rays and impressions for dental procedures.
- Conducting thorough reviews of patients' medical history.
- Charting existing conditions and treatment plans accurately.
- Collaborating with hygienists and dentists to record probing depth records.
- Performing polish and flossing procedures for patients.
- Administering fluoride varnish applications.
- Ensuring proper sterilization and preparation of treatment rooms.
- Setting up trays and maintaining dental instruments for efficient use.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1 year of experience as a dental assistant or a certificate in dental assisting from an accredited program is necessary.
- The ideal candidate should be well-spoken and compassionate.
- Punctuality and good attendance are important.
- Strong communication skills are required.
- The candidate should have a pleasant and friendly demeanor.
- Comfortable speaking with patients and coordinating treatment.
- Focused and detail-oriented.
- Ability to take full mouth x-rays, sterilize, and prepare rooms.
- References are required.
