Job description
ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR ROLE : This role acts as the intermediary between the animal shelter and its community of supporters. Reporting directly to the Development Director, the Volunteer/Community Engagement Coordinator oversees the volunteers that help care for the emotional needs of the shelter‘s animals, educate the public about the shelter’s work and the humane care of all animals, and fundraising to support the shelter’s work in aiding the animals of the county.
Job Duties:
Identify needs of the different departments as to their need of volunteers.
Recruit, screen and supervise volunteers
Schedule, train and assign volunteers
Maintain files, records and applications regarding the volunteer program.
Coordinate volunteer recognition and appreciation events
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
HS Diploma or GED plus 2 years of higher education OR 5 years relevant experience
Valid PA Drivers License
Hours: Part time, 25 to 35 hours per week.
Wage: $13.00- $14.50 per hour, dependent on experience
