About the Role & Program
ABC Owned Television Stations is dedicated to celebrating cities, communities, and cultures across America. We create content for ABC’s Owned Television Stations and Hulu streaming platforms, in addition to content for social platforms and branded videos for our Disney partners. Through powerful stories and exclusive data analysis, our content aims to amplify the voices of historically underrepresented, underestimated, and marginalized communities by examining social issues, exploring historical context, and providing insightful information while celebrating heritage, triumphs, and our common humanity.
What You Will Do
Our team is looking for university-level talent interested in growing and applying their existing knowledge of the digital and social media landscape! You will also be involved in all parts of our content production process – from brainstorming ideas for a diverse portfolio of content to optimizing videos for distribution across multiple digital and broadcast end points, with a particular emphasis on YouTube.

As the ABC Content Intern, you may:
Produce, edit and distribute platform specific videos across our various ABC outlets
Optimize content on social media platforms—especially YouTube and TikTok
Assist in content research and updating our content management database
Generate exciting and informative concepts with the production team
Collaborate with and support supervising producers throughout all projects and processes
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience in and knowledge of using social media platforms to post and create content
Experience with using the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Premiere
Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience (academic or internship) in journalism (print and/or broadcast); television, news and new media production; and/or television news script writing
Education
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year or recently graduated within the past 6 months preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Program length -- The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 through early January 2025
Work details -- Must be fully available to work 40 hours per week during a Monday through Friday schedule, but may include occasional weekends or nights pending events that may come up
Housing -- Must provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Los Angeles, California area
Transportation -- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
