Position Summary:
Catalent Pharma Solutions is Morrisville, NC is hiring a Lead Scientist - Data Reviewer for the Biophysical Characterization group. The laboratory groups at Catalent RTP are responsible for the support of pharmaceutical product development in a range of dosage forms both directly with customers and in collaboration with other Catalent facilities. This includes formulation development, structural chemistry, analytical support, and clinical trials material manufacturing. This role will be focused on data review and working with analysts to properly submit documentation and notebooks.
This is a full-time position: Monday - Friday, 8AM-5PM. The Research Triangle Park (RTP) facility is Catalent's Center of Excellence for Analytical Services and is also home to Catalent's Inhalation franchise including product development, clinical and commercial manufacturing for pMDI, DPI and Nasal Sprays.

- May author technical documents such as protocols, test methods, text reports, certificates of analysis, and operating procedures
- Train, coach, and mentors others on technical, personal development, or business issues
- Execute efficiency improvement projects with guidance
- Accurately prioritize work according to business needs
- Communicate any major findings or concerns that may result in deviations or timeline delays
- Participate in process improvement initiatives around documentation
- All other duties as assigned;
The Candidate - Bachelors degree in Chemistry or a closely related field is required with 9-12 years of relevant experience
- Masters degree with 6-9 years of experience or a PhD with 2-5 years of experience is preferred
- Relevant work experience in a GMP environment is required
- Experience with HPLC and Chromatography is highly preferred
- Working knowledge of Empower is strongly preferred-----
- Knowledge of Unifi or a similar Scientific Information system preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- High proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate and interact with different teams and levels within the organization
- Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds;
