Job description
A health and wellness company that is growing quickly is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer - E-Commerce, will build, manage, and optimize the entire digital consumer experience. You will implement site redesigns and customer experience optimizations.
Strong candidates will have experience in architecting and developing complex end-to-end web applications. They will be able to provide clean and scalable code autonomously while also bringing ideas to improve the tech stack.Salary:Up to 150k base + bonus

Responsibilities:
Own the development of features end-to-end including: architecting, coding, testing, and deploying on the e-commerce web application
Deliver React, TypeScript, and SASS code on a component-based architecture for modern browsers
Execute thorough QA on their work to ensure mobile responsiveness and seamless customer experience
Collaborate with our design team to develop accurate representations of their designs and functionalities
Act as a technical thought partner - enhance business ideas by providing insights and tech requirements/constraints to achieve their vision
Mentor other engineers via peer-programming and code review
Proactively identify areas of improvement in the code base - seek out improvements to maintainability, scalability, and performance
Responsibilities:
3+ years experience as a software engineering (e-commerce preferred)
Proficient with TypeScript, React, and SASS (or equivalent CSS preprocessor language)
GraphQL experience
Experience architecting and building large-scale e-commerce and/or public-facing applications end-to-end
Be located in LA and willing to come into the office in Santa Monica from Monday through Thursday
Preferred Experience:
Experience with Shopify Headless solution/migration (preferably with Hydrogen)
Experience using Shopify storefront APIs with GraphQL
Experience customizing Shopify Themes with Shopify CLI and Liquid syntax
Experience in A/B testing on public-facing applications
Experience with server-side languages/frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Ruby)
Experience with SEO: page speed, Core Web Vitals
