Job description
Our client is a power distribution component manufacturer with a long and exciting history. They are primed for aggressive expansion into new and existing markets. We are seeking a Quality Test Electrical Engineer to assist with product development and inspecting taking a project from concept to design to production.
Quality Test Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Perform hi-Pot testing for switchgear to ensure the quality and compliance with all products shipped
- Evaluate project control test cases and product code and resolve any issues that don't meet customer specifications
- Document test logs during all phases and record defects.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to resolve and fix defects
- Provide technical support to Manufacturing team
- Provide technical support to sales and distributors as needed
- Support company-wide initiatives, including quality improvement projects to maintain best-in-class service
Quality Test Electrical Engineer Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years experience in QA/QC testing electrical systems OR Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with 3+ years experience in QA/QC testing electrical systems
- Experience working with medium and/or low voltage products and strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong proficiency in reading technical drawings, project specifications, electrical control schematics and power feed diagrams
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing
- Understanding of NEC, ANSI/IEEE and UL standards is a plus
- Understanding of Metal clad and Metal Enclosed switchgear is a plus
