We are in search of an experienced CNC Machinist to join our growing company! The Machinist is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machine tools to produce precision metal parts in small batches; one-off's, prototypes, short runs and repair rebuild. The Machinist will work on a variety of machines such as vertical milling machines and horizontal lathes. The Machinist ensures that products meet the precise specifications set out by engineering by either drawings or verbal instructions.

• Must be flexible enough to work in all areas of operation per the direction of the supervisor
• Desire to learn programing of CNC controls, both G code and conversational
• Studies and understands blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and/or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements
• Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining
• Select, align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or control media as required
• Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications
• Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data

Schedule: Full time position. For six months of the year (spring/summer), the department operates on a 9/80 work schedule
