Title: Regional Sales Manager - West Coast (Medical, Consumer, & Pharmaceutical)
Status: Full-Time with Client
Location: Anywhere in WA
Base Salary: $100,000 - $110,000
Bonus: Uncapped commissions, 1.75%. First-year commission guarantee, with the amount based on experience
Travel: Up to 80% of the time (Domestic & International travel)
Sponsorship: None supported
Job Description Manages sales activities of the organization by selling the products and services as defined by management in a geographically defined region. Responsible for complete sales process in the defined territory including but not limited to prospecting, reporting, quoting, and closing business in accordance with the sales budget. Will be responsible for achieving sales goals for their assigned regional territory.
Your schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate travel, customer needs, trade shows, meetings, and customer schedules. Responsibilities: - Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales revenue goals
- Prospect potential sales opportunities within MCP industries for assigned territory and cultivate customer relationships to generate sales revenue
- Manage the entire sales cycle from identifying prospects to closing deals
- Utilize resources such as sales intelligence tools, marketing tools, demonstration facilities, and internal subject matter experts to generate leads and advance the sales process
- Partner with internal subject matter experts to execute sales quotes and orders according to established procedures, providing all detailed information necessary to produce accurate quotes and orders
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and up-to-date information in the CRM tool
- Manage assigned MCP customer account relationships, including some key accounts, to ensure customer success and satisfaction
- Serve as point-person for managing customer expectations as they relate to the capital equipment order process
- Monitor and report competitive activity
- Participate in sales revenue goal and budget planning activities
- Participate in trade shows, sales meetings, industry meetings, and other activities as directed by leadership
- Demonstrate initiative and motivation for continuous learning of the product portfolio, industry, and selling strategies and techniques
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree and four or more years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel
- 3+ years of direct, capital equipment sales experience, ideally selling into medical or consumer goods
- Extensive technical knowledge of capital equipment machinery and functionality.
- Experience with long, complex sales cycles with numerous stakeholders, ideally in manufacturing, processing, or packaging
- Strong progression of career success, showing growth and advancement
- Consultative sales approach with experience negotiating and closing deals (this is NOT a good fit for pharmaceutical sales reps)
- Experience selling large, complex equipment with related quoting, production, and installation challenges
- Existing relationships with customers or decision-makers in medical, consumable, or pharmaceutical manufacturing, processing, or packaging
- Proven success in building or growing a sales territory with rankings and awards
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Proficiency in Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, PowerPoint, Internet software, and Contact Management systems.
