Job description
We're seeking a highly ambitious, adaptable, structured, and detail-oriented Project Manager to join the vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Division of AIDS (DAIDS), Workforce Operations, Communications and Reporting Branch (WOCRB).
Responsibilities - Provide project management expertise in coordinating a wide range of technical, logistical, and administrative activities associated with complex, critical Division-wide scientific meetings (e.g. Data Safety Monitoring Board, Strategic Working Group, AIDS Research Advisory Committee, Prevention Sciences Review Committee), clinical research trainings, workshops, and managing web-based clinical research management (NIAID Clinical Research Management System, DAIDS SharePoint site) and training systems (e.g. DAIDS Learning Portal and course content). This involves complex interactions with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide project management expertise and technical advice to the WOCRB Branch Chief and/or Division Director for increasing efficiencies on various programmatic and administrative activities of the Branch and the Division
- Develop project plans, oversee deliverables, and manage timelines for projects
- Provide technical and administrative support for various projects for the Division Director and Deputy Director as well as the WOCRB Chief.
- Assess the effectiveness of current WOCRB operations and administration processes and identify approaches and procedures to improve operations, streamline and harmonize these practices within WOCRB and the DAIDS OD, and address obstacles that impede projects.
- Coordinate communication and replies to information requests with other Branches and Programs within DAIDS and other components of NIAID/NIH and with collaborators outside of the NIH.
Experience Required / Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 4 years of specialized experience in project management and clinical trials and/or health research.
