Job description

We are looking for a Production Scheduler that performs various production control activities including management of job production schedules as directed by company and customer requirements. EPICOR and MRP experience is a plus!

Responsibilities:
• Keep Production Manager informed of critical issues which affect production schedule
a. Progress/Issues of jobs
b. Identify delays in Production; Machine issues, Quality issues, Planning/Programming issues, etc.
• Build, compile & analyze production reports
• Back and forth communication with Prod Control Assistant to monitor progress of jobs moving through the shop as scheduled
• Make adjustments to schedules/machine priorities when necessary
a. Scrap, Date Pull Ins, Machine Issues, etc.
• Communicate with Planning/Programming when changes are needed as driven by schedule
• Review/Manage Job Scheduling Factors in Epicor ERP to more efficiently schedule individual jobs
• Utilize Resource Scheduling Board/Part Queue's to manage machine loads
• Work with Machining Leads/Striders to optimize order, setup, etc. of jobs being ran to maximize machine utilization and efficiency
• Review machine utilization and compile/analyze reports
• Monitor progress of Long Pulls and Late Jobs using Job Notifications/Follow Ups
• Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS9100, for example).
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S standards.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills:

• Experience with MRP/ERP systems a plus
• Experience with Epicor Kinetic highly desirable
• APICS Certification desirable
• Comfortable with PC and Apple devices
• Work well in a team environment
• Strong communication skills
• MS Access VBA programming a plus
• Must possess solid organizational skills and be able to multitask
• General familiarity with manufacturing operations
• Possess leadership skills and ability to lead with a positive attitude
• Attention to detail
• Consistent and dependable attendance.
