Essential Functions
The VP of Finance will act as a financial advisor to the CEO and executive team for strategic planning purposes. The scope of this role will have direct oversight regarding all sides of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and tax preparation. Additionally in this position you will develop /maintain appropriate tracking methods for revenue and expenses.
- Develop and produce monthly financial statements to include an accurate analyses, summaries, and reports on the operating progress of the company
- Create reliable cash flow projections process and reporting structure that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operational needs
- Routinely review revenue cycle metrics to identify and address issues affecting overall performance proactively
- Manage the company's compliance with all local and federal regulatory matters
- Partner with senior leaders to ensure the company hits revenue targets
- Consistently monitor and develop strategy for inventory forecasting and planning
- Represent the organization externally, as necessary, particularly in banking, lease negotiations, and any/all auditing authorities
- Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development
- Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and conduct quarterly performance evaluations
- Upgrade and implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual budget process
- Assist in the financial assessments with regard to Mergers and Acquisitions
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS Degree in Business or Accounting required, Masters in Business or Finance preferred
- CPA Preferred
- 10+ years of experience in senior management role ideally with both external audit and in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth organization
- Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask
- Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
- Effective excellent verbal and written communication skills to be capable of working with all levels of office personnel
- Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives
