Position Description
CGI is seeking an experienced director with a broad strategic perspective and demonstrated performance leading a Sector’s business growth activities in developing, implementing and delivering logistics, information technology (IT), and digital transformation solutions for US Navy and Marine Corps clients. The position must be performed in Charleston, Norfolk, or Washington DC Metro area, with willingness to travel up to 50% when needed.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Build strong relationships with clients to better understand and proactively respond to their needs, promote CGI full services offerings and help clients meet their strategic and tactical goals.
• Act as CGI lead, trusted advisor and business partner in identifying client needs and developing business process and technology solutions that solve critical issues and support organizational priorities.
• Work in partnership with CGI business units (BUs), business development (BD) leads, program/project leads, CGI Federal Marketing, and proposal managers to develop and implement detailed win strategies and tactics, holding main responsibility for the pre-RFP capture/marketing efforts and negotiations with internal and external teammates.
• Respond to requests for proposal (RFPs) requests for information (RFIs) or sources sought requests as appropriate, coordinating the requisite resources needed for a response and ensuring the right message is conveyed for the RFI response, and in consideration of CGI Federal’s go-to-market and win strategies.
• Build pipeline of prospective opportunities that coincide with CGI’s core capabilities and the go to market strategy.
• Carry out capture taskings to increase the win probability of opportunities targeted for bid.
• Attract premier teaming relationships in targeted client markets and understand the industry dynamics as they relate to the customer base.
• Brief senior CGI leadership on capture progress and offer options for increasing percentage of win for each opportunity.
• Attract, build and develop talent, to ensure teams drive innovation and foster collaboration.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field along with 10 years of successful professional experience on Department of Defense (Navy/Marine Corps) IT-related projects or programs.
• At least 2 years in a federal business development or capture management role with a history of closing new business pursuits required.
• Ability to constructively influence and interact at the highest levels of the company and in target customer organizations.
• Proven ability to identify emerging business trends resulting in strategy recommendations to senior leadership, with a particular focus on understanding how to demonstrate technology differentiators.
• Goal oriented with a consistent track record of delivery.
• Patience and people skills to achieve effective progress, anticipate problems, and keep project and pursuit activities moving forward.
• Attention to detail, persuasive, and able to communicate and build strong client relationships.
• Must be based in Charleston, Norfolk, or Washington DC Metro area, with the ability to travel to different client sites and CGI office locations in and around the United States as needed.
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $131,000-$291,000.
