Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Raeford, North Carolina is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the golf course, ensuring it is in pristine condition for players. This role requires strong leadership, expertise in turf management, and a commitment to providing an exceptional golfing experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance, including turf care, landscaping, irrigation, and pest control.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive turf management program to maintain high-quality playing conditions.
• Supervise and lead a team of groundskeepers, providing training, guidance, and scheduling to ensure efficient operations.
• Collaborate with the Golf Course Manager to establish budgets and manage expenses effectively.
• Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering of the course.
• Implement sustainable and environmentally responsible practices in golf course maintenance.
• Perform regular inspections of the course to identify and address issues such as diseased turf, weeds, and equipment malfunctions.
• Plan and execute aeration, topdressing, and overseeding programs to improve turf quality.
• Manage the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, expenses, and inventory.
• Work closely with the pro shop to coordinate course closures, tournaments, and special events.
• Manage equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacement schedules.
• Ensure the golf course complies with all local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental and safety standards.
• Stay current with industry trends, innovations, and best practices in golf course management.
• Foster a positive working environment, promoting teamwork, safety awareness, and professional development among the maintenance staff.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in golf course maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of turfgrass species, diseases, and treatment methods.
Familiarity with golf course equipment, irrigation systems, and maintenance practices.
Pesticide applicator’s license or the ability to obtain one.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Compensation:
$75,000 – $110,000 per year.
