Position Summary/Description:

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking a fixed term faculty member at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor to accommodate clinical needs in the Department. The position will provide inpatient clinical assessments and treatment plans. Duties will also include teaching/supervising fellows, residents, medical students and other trainees from a variety of disciplines. This position will also work virtually providing psychiatric care to inpatient individuals via our EPIC platform. You will work virtually, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the mental well-being and recovery of patients at Jonas Hills Hospital. The candidate will maintain accurate and up- to-date electronic medical records ( EPIC ) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience:

The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience working with a multi-disciplinary team, including trainees from a variety of disciplines. Candidates should have clinical experience working with the severe and persistently mentally ill, and substance using patients.
